Dual fuel

A system pairing an electric heat pump with a gas furnace: the heat pump handles heating and cooling most of the year, and the furnace takes over during the coldest stretches when gas heat is more effective or economical.

Why it matters for your home

Dual fuel fits Missouri's climate like it was designed for it, heat-pump efficiency through our long mild-to-moderate heating hours, gas muscle for January cold snaps. If your AC is dying but your furnace is young, replacing the AC with a heat pump creates a dual-fuel system and preserves your furnace investment.
