Equipment
Two-stage
Equipment with two output levels, a low stage (roughly 60 to 70% capacity) for most conditions and a high stage for extreme days. The middle tier between single-stage and fully variable-speed equipment.
Why it matters for your home
Two-stage is often the value sweet spot in our market: most of the comfort and humidity benefits of longer, gentler run times at a smaller premium than variable-speed. On mild days the system loafs along quietly on low; when a 98° afternoon or a single-digit night hits, high stage is there.
